When Brittany told me Lyla’s first birthday theme was Winter Onederland, I was super excited! I knew together, we could create something magical.

Like all Smash & Splash sessions, we started out with a casual set. Lyla was dress in the cutest lace romper. We of course had to get some pictures with Momma, Dad, and Mommom as well!

After the casual pictures, we moved on to setting up the set for her cake smash. The set up was a whimsical mix of glitz and wooded.

Sweet Lyla girl had little to no sugar before her first birthday so Brittany decided to make her cake from scratch. She found a recipe on Pinterest for a banana based cake with yogurt based frosting. Yay Pinterest for the win!! If you search “Healthy Smash Cake” you’ll find a few other recipes on there.

Finally, we finished it off with some tubby time. I was so excited, I found this vintage wash tub in a local antique store the day before her session!
