My Four Pregnancy Must Haves

May 12, 2021

Pregnancy is so different from person to person and even from pregnancy to pregnancy. I’ve been pregnant 6 times total with 4 that went full term and gave me my 4 beautiful boys. Each one was super different. However, these four things were game changers for helping me feel much more comfortable. I hope they help you too!

  1. Chamomile tea. Throughout Finley and Theo’s pregnancies I had heart burn and acid reflux. It was especially bad during Theo’s pregnancy. I would find myself maxing out the safe pregnancy dose of Tums and still be up all night miserable with acid reflux. One night, when I was super desperate to find a solution, I Google searched natural acid reflux and heart burn remedies. A list of roughly ten items popped up. One of the remedies was Chamomile tea. I quickly texted my mom who luckily had some. It worked IMMEDIATELY. Not only did it work, but I had relief for 48 hours!!! I picked some up at Aldi’s for the remainder of my pregnancy and used it whenever I needed it for quick relief. father and pregnant mother on the beach with their son in ocean city, New Jersey at sunset
  2. Comfy Leggings. Pregnancy can get super uncomfortable, especially when nearing the end. Not only that but your body is changing in so many ways. It’s important to find clothing you’re comfortable in. For a lot of women, leggings provides that comfort. Over my 4 full term pregnancies I’ve tried around 10 different brands. This past pregnancy with Theo, I found a pair I fell in love with at Target. They are buttery soft, stretchy, opaque, and the best part? I never had to pull them up. I wasn’t doing a shimmy all day trying to pull my leggings up. father and pregnant mother on the beach with their son in ocean city, New Jersey at sunset
  3. Support Tank Top. Back pain is such a common complaint from pregnant women, myself included. I went to the chiropractor my entire pregnancy with Theo to manage the pain. I ended up purchasing these support tank tops from Blanqi and wish I would have bought them years ago for my previous pregnancies. They were such a game changer for my back and overall pain! 4. Special Pillow. I know lots of ladies love body pillows and they might work wonders for them. Personally, I don’t like having all of that in my bed, especially when there is usually at least one toddler in bed with my husband and I. Instead, I opted for this knee pillow from Amazon. It’s small and compact while still doing it’s job perfectly! This might not be a good option if you need more support around your belly when sleeping but if you’re having back pain, sciatic nerve pain, or symphysis pubis dysfunction it’s perfect.
